InspireOne collaborated with Dr. Becker – Ebel, a world-renowned psychodrama practitioner to deliver a “Psychodrama Open Program” on 5th December 2019 at Grand Hyatt Mumbai
Psychodrama is an action method, in which spontaneous dramatization, role playing, and dramatic self-presentation are used to investigate and gain insight into one’s lives; both the past and the future.
The objective of this event was to expose the leaders from India Inc to Psychodrama and engage in a conversation on applying it in the business context to leverage emotional energy of people for driving results.
We had Business, HR and L&D Leaders attend the session from 14 organisations belonging to diverse sectors like Oil & Gas, Automobile, Retail, E-commerce, Hospitality, Real Estate, BFSI amongst the others.
In this experiential session, connect was developed among absolute strangers instantly through the process called sociometry, in most sessions participants are asked to introduce themselves and share a unique thing(s) about themselves – while this approach may sound exciting to individuals but it builds more divide rather than bond in the group.
Participants also got a glimpse of “Tele” which is the feeling of attraction or repulsion that emanates from and flows between most people, objects and animals on a minute-to-minute and day-to-day basis.
While Sociometry & Tele are technical aspects of Psychodrama, people engaged in the process could experience the power and magic of these through the role-playing they were immersed in.
Participants walked away with inputs on, how to:
Leaders who attended the session had a distinction that it is possible to get people to connect with their deeper – emotional self immediately, in contrast to the general belief that it is a slow and gradual process.
